ABOUT
AKIHICO MORI
Akihico Mori is a multidisciplinary science journalist who uncovers the hidden structures of technology that drive modern conveniences, examining the intersections of science, technology, and humanity with a focus on ethical and societal implications. In addition to his role as the Official Correspondent for WIRED Japan, he undertakes experimental projects that fuse journalistic rigor with artistic innovation, shedding light on transformative societal shifts.
Alongside his journalistic career, he works as a consultant and art director, specializing in branding and projects ranging from editorial content to 3DCG films. He collaborates with academia, including Kyoto University, the Center for iPS Cell Research and Application, and the Japan Society of Applied Physics, as well as with civil organizations such as Q-STAR (Quantum Strategic Industry Alliance for Revolution).
He also collaborates as a freelance reporter and fixer for international media such as the BBC, and serves as a researcher and educator at institutions including Waseda University, Hokkaido University, and Kobe College. Akihiko has delivered speeches and lectures at the University of California, Berkeley, the University of Tokyo, and Salzburg Global Seminar, inspiring dialogue on the future of science and technology.
